SERIOUSLY??

It's been so long since my last update. Almost a month! As they say, time flies and so much can happen in a short period of time. Well, I guess they don't actually say it like that but that's how I perceive it so back off!  >.<

I suppose I should put in some highlights of the past 20-odd days.

• I received my SPM results. I didn't do so well, I only got 8As, not including GCE which is a Australian marked English paper. All of my friends did really well especially one of my super close friends, JT, who scored 13 A1s thus making her the top scorer of my school! Bitch. >.< Nah, I'm damn proud of her.
• After receiving my SPM results, me and my ex-classmates headed to Sunway Pyramid to celebrate/mourn, depending on our individual results. On the up side, I got to spend some quality time with my ex-classmates and I also got to see Jac's new squeeze. On the down side, I was scolded mercilessly by my parents for arriving home so late. =.=
• I spent the whole week of my holiday chaffeuring my beloved mother to shopping malls and to run errands. Ever since her return from , I've become her personal driver. =.=

Honestly, I can't remember what I've done over the past few weeks.

However, I've managed to survive the past week otherwise known as the week of hell. I've been up til 2 in the morning everyday for the past week finishing up last minute assignments and projects. Now I understand when they say the SAM program is a living nightmare. With the amount of work loaded on us, SAM program should be considered as a form child abuse instead of a pre-university course. >.<

Oh, I just remembered that the SAM program organized a SAM Fiesta on the 9th of this month. It was supposed to help us get to know each other but it turned out to be an all-night dance party. As I don't dance, the party was sort of a total bust for me. Also, there were some freaky guys who stared, stalked and took pictures of WN without even asking her permission. There was one extremely freaky guy who took WN's hand and pulled her away from our group and tried to force her to dance with him. The only problem is that she doesn't like dancing and he was really very freaky. Oh well, to turn things away from the dark points of that night, let's enjoy some pictures of that night!

I really think that bunnies are one of the most adorable animals on the planet although they are considered as pests in some countries.

 

Speaking of bunnies, animals and pests, I'm reminded that we were visited by a representative of the Malaysian Nature Society (MNS) today. I really think Malaysians should take part in the conserving our natural reserves that are continuously depleting.

So, anyway, it's about time I just shut up and go to bed.

Oh no, I'm becoming lame..

CNY ended on Sunday, on the 4th of March. This day is called 'Chap Goh Mei'. It falls on the 15th day of the new year.

Since CNY started, so much has happened, some of them good, some of them bad. However, one thing will always stay the same. Instead of elaborating, here are some pictures to prove my point.

No matter how much things change, some things just always stay the same.

Well, it's been official since Thursday but I've been so swept up with college-life that I didn't remember to post it here.

Dramatic drum roll please,

SPM results are to be out on the 12th of March.

That gives me 9 days left to be part of my family because when I receive my results, I have a feeling I'm going to be disowned. >.<

Being a lazy piece of fart, that's all I'm going to write.

Basically, my life is boring.

I really wish people would just be honest in what they want from you. Sometimes you think that people actually like you for being you when in fact they have other intentions.

Sometimes I overthink things. When someone's being nice to me, I always wonder what it is that they want from me. To me, nothing comes for free, even friendship.

I really wish people would stop acting and just be honest with what they want.

Well, I didn't die but it wasn't what I would call a enjoyable day. It started off quite nicely, me and my old class from secondary school regrouping as we do every morning and turning heads as we are extremely noisy as a group. >.<

Getting to class, all the guys who tease me were standing at the door, talking to each other. With each new step, I felt my heart getting heavier and I braced myself for the attack I knew was coming. So I stood outside the door, hoping they would just let me pass because I was so not in the mood to be critisized so early in the morning. As one of them opened his mouth, presumeably to tease me again, the door which he was so brilliantly leaning against, was opened by one of our classmates who wanted to exit class. So, yes, he staggered backward and I seized the opportunity to squeeze past them into the class. Phew.

Then, as I thought that all was clear, I realized that all 3 of the guys who tease me mercilessly had chosen to sit right behing me. Sigh. Luckily we were in that class for only one lesson and during lab, which was our second lesson, my friends and I sat in front whilst they sat at the back. Then, after break, they sat in the middle and I practically ran to the seat that was furthest away. This time, all 3 lessons were in the same class so I was safe til college ended.

One of them invited me to join them at the library to study for tomorrow's Biology CT1 (Gasp!) but I was with MS at McDonald's so I didn't join them. Besides, I'm sort of banned from the library since I lost my student ID. >.<

Once again, on the way home, I felt a sense of sadness and despair. I came home and immediately slept til around 6.30pm. I reached home at 3.30pm. =.= My dad won't be coming home til late because he's going to Ipoh (quite far away) so I just had my dinner alone. No news from my brother so I don't know what happened to him. Hmm..

My ESL CT1 today went really badly. I couldn't think of any points for my essay and felt like I was running around in circles. Which I guess I was. Hahaha!

Tomorrow I'm sitting for my Biology CT1 and here I am, writing about my horrible day when I should be studying.

To top it all off, my sister, who's now studying in Melbourne, told me that she's so sad now because my mother's leaving for home on Sunday. She just left a few weeks ago and yet she hasn't made any new friends because her classmates already have their own groups. =(

My mother says that my sister is very upset and is moping around. She calls it 'one of S's moods'. =.=

Anyway, I suppose I should get a move on and at least shower now. Ugh..

Forgive me for the drama for I know not a life without it. >.<

There's been a rumour that the SPM results would be coming out on the 28th of February aka tomorrow. Since there's been no news about that so far, I guess it's not. There's another rumour that it'll be out by the 11th of March which is a Sunday as the National Service (NS) people are getting leave on that day. Some people are saying it's on the 12th or 16th or 18th of March.

I'm so dead.

I get the feeling that I'm going to fail my SPM. Hmm, maybe that's why I had that bad feeling this afternoon. Or maybe I'm going to die tomorrow. Either way, I'm so dead!

On a lighter note, I received my Physics Common Test 1 results. I was shocked when my teacher called my name out as the 2nd highest in class. I was fully expecting a 4/50. However, I can't be too cocky as the top 10 in my class comprises of people who failed too. I achieved a 30/50 which is only a 60/100. Which is so totally horrible!

I received my Biology Quiz 2 results today too. I got a 18/20 (revised marking) which I guess is okay. Without the teachers accepting different answers from their answer scheme, I would have achieved a total of 15/20 which sounds so much worse than a 18/20! So I need to thank my teachers' leniency. Um, thanks.

It's quite a shock to me as everything this year is so cramped. Already this week I have 3 Common Tests lined up in a row : ESL Common Test 1 (CT1) on the 28th, Biology CT1 on the 1st and Chemistry CT1 on the 2nd. On Monday (5th of March), I'm having a Maths CT1. I haven't even started studying for Biology! I'm a goner.

Wish me luck and if I happen to make it through this week, congratulate me. >.<

It was a so-so day. It started quite nicely I suppose as we were all totally getting along and with minimal teasing. It seemed like our class was finally beginning to come together as one!

I guess it started towards the end of college. Due to my inabilty to sleep well last night, I started getting really tired by noon. I think I was quite rude to some people too as I couldn't think very well and my mind was toally blank. Sorry!

While I was driving home, I felt like the world was crashing down on me. I can't really explain it but I felt so helpless and I felt like something bad was going to happen. Somehow, I had a really bad feeling that something horrible is going to happen tomorrow.

That's what makes me want to run.

While I was driving, I just wanted to keep on going. I seriously considered continuing my journey along the highway and not turning into my neighbourhood. Only sheer exhaustion kept me from actually doing so.

I'm dreading going to college tomorrow. I fear that it is going to be a very terrible day. I'm afraid that my prediction that I'm going to die in a car accident this year will come true tomorrow.

I'm scared that tomorrow is going to be last day on Earth, just as everything is starting to look up.

It was a rather good day I suppose so tomorrow is probably going to be bad. >.<

That often happens to me. One good day, the next a bad day. Ah well.. Anyway, I reached college at 7am - yes, that's 7 o'clock in the MORNING! It was dark and I'd barely slept for 2 hours last night due to insane, inconsiderate people who were burning firecrackers into the wee hours of the night. Everytime I start to drift off to sleep, BANG!  =.=

Since I had to drive myself to school today - no easy feat, Subang Jaya's roundabout is absolute killer, even for experienced drivers! - I had to leave extra early to avoid meeting too many cars.

So other than leaving my house and arriving at college at insane hours, I felt like a complete dork and idiot (are they the same thing?) as I realized that my skirt was extremely loose and my shirt was sort of short. As I walked, I kept hitching up my skirt which, by the way, is not very long, so I guess I looked like I was going to moon everybody on the street.

As the day went on, I increasingly felt more dumb as I realized my brain was rusty from such a long discontinued use. I couldn't even do my English work as I couldn't even remember the word 'ripe'. Thanks, MS.

The worse/best part of the day was when a few guys I've been talking to lately from my class started teasing me about everything. It was fun as I've rarely been in the spotlight - my gorgeous friend, WN, was feeling tired as she was finising her homework til late at night - so I basked in it for awhile and teased them back. Then, I suppose I encouraged them too much as they continued to tease me for the entire day! Sigh.. Kept getting criticized - my fingers were called 'sausages'!

So, all in all, today was rather nice. I drove BT and her cousin (who lives with her) home as we finished classes at the same time. However, WN's mom was late so we stayed back with her. An hour later, I decided to leave first as BT and her cousin were looking a little annoyed. And both BT and her cousin praised my driving skills!

Well, so far that much has happened today. Besides the fact that when I got home, looked at myself in the mirror and screamed. I'd worn eyeliner today as I was going for the emo-look (I blame you, Shan) and by the time I reached home, it was all smudged! I was so hideous! Sigh..

Anyhoo, my apologies for the lack of pictures today. Didn't take anything new today as I spent most of the day running around campus.

Can you guess what I witnessed today under the hot, hot sun?

Yup, it's the unmistakeable sounds of a lion dance!

My neighbour had an open house today and invited us over to eat, drink and be merry. Hahaha, I always wanted to say that. Anyway, they invited these lion dancers to entertain us and to bring good luck to their home.

For those who haven't seen what a lion dance is, here are some photos. Actually, I just like showing photos to people. =)

It might be kind of difficult to see but I really do have loads of photos. The first picture is of the 'lions' eating mandarin oranges and beer that have been put on the floor. The second one is the 'lions' dancing around whilst eyeing the mandarin oranges. The third picture is of the 'lions' munching on the mandarin oranges (well, actually, the people under the costume put the oranges into their shirts to be given to onlookers later). The fourth picture is of the lion dance crew banging away on the drums, cymbals and 'gong'. In the last picture, the 'lions' are prancing around 'drunkenly' after slurping up the beer.

If you look closely, you can see the empty, crushed beer cans under the bushes,near the thrilled children. By the way, that guy wearing the yellow robe is supposed to be the chinese version of a clown.

 

 

Here's a close up of him reaching out to shake someone's hand on the right. And, yes, that is a mask.

 

 

 

On the left, the 'lions' are eyeing the huge plate of fruits which was on the floor.

 

On the right, the 'lions' are sizing each other up to see who would get the huge plate of fruits. The gold one got the honour of peeling all those fruits.

 

Normally, the 'lions' will peel a plate of fruits which normally include a pomelo and some mandarin oranges. My neighbour included a pineapple which I suppose is what made their task so much harder.  >.<

While the gold 'lion' set to work peeling the fruits, the silver one ran around entertaining the crowd. It 'spat' mandarin oranges out of its mouth at people and went up to children, begging to be hugged or patted.

 

It came right up to my table and 'spat' a mandarin orange at a guy sitting at my table. Then it danced a little then ran off to play with the little children that were watching them with fascination.

 

 

 

A young girl is kissing the silver 'lion' in the first picture. In the second picture, the 'lion' is greeting the crowd. The third picture is of the 'lion' scratching itself like a dog. I think it ran out of things to do as the gold 'lion' peeled the fruits as fast as it could. In the fourth picture, the gold 'lion' finally finished peeling the fruits and both the 'lions' presented our neighbour with the plate of peeled fruit. Lastly, the kids are seen petting the butt of the 'lion'.  >.<

After this, they entered the house and walked all around it. It's for good luck or something. After all that, they did this :

After an exhausting half an hour or so, the 'lions' and their crew finally bowed their way out.

The people under the costume were sweating buckets and I don't blame them, it was blistering hot! However, right after they started packing up to leave, clouds took over the sky and an hour later, it rained cats and dogs.  =.=

So, that's all I actually did today.

Damn, I think I'm going deaf!
